Grammy balvas ieguvējs un roots-rock leģenda Dan Zanes kopā ar savu dzīvesbiedri, džeza vokālisti un mūzikas terapeiti Claudia Zanes ierodas Rīgā ar īpašu koncertu savas Baltijas un Somijas vasaras tūres ietvaros!
Dan Zanes uzsāka savu muzikālo karjeru kā grupas The Del Fuegos līderis, koncertējot kopā ar Tom Petty, ZZ Topun INXS. Vēlāk viņš kļuva par vienu no amerikāņu ģimenes mūzikas modernajiem pionieriem, izdevis 24 albumus un sadarbojies ar Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Suzanne Vega, Sheryl Crow, Angelique Kidjo u.c. Viņš arī ir viens no Constructive White Conversations – antirasistiskas iniciatīvas Ņujorkā – dibinātājiem.
Claudia Zanes nāk no bagātīgas Haiti muzikālās tradīcijas, kas iedvesmo viņas dabiski atvērto, dziedinošo pieeju mūzikai – uzstājoties gan lielās džeza skatuvēs, gan slimnīcās un skolās kā terapeitei.
Abi mākslinieki ir ne tikai radoši partneri, bet arī dzīves ceļa biedri kopš 2016. gada – viņu mūzika ir par saišu veidošanu, līdzpārdzīvojumu un cilvēku spēcināšanu.

Grammy Award winner and roots-rock legend Dan Zanes, together with his wife, jazz vocalist and music therapist Claudia Zanes, is coming to Riga with a special concert as part of their summer tour of the Baltics and Finland!
An evening of acoustic roots-folk, jazz vibes and the presence of the Haitian community spirit will meet.
Dan Zanes began his musical career as the leader of the band The Del Fuegos, performing with Tom Petty, ZZ Top and INXS. Later, he became one of the modern pioneers of American family music, having released 24 albums and collaborated with Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Suzanne Vega, Sheryl Crow, Angelique Kidjo and others. He is also one of the founders of Constructive White Conversations – an anti-racist initiative in New York.
Claudia Zanes comes from a rich Haitian musical tradition, which inspires her naturally open, healing approach to music – performing on large jazz stages as well as in hospitals and schools as a therapist.
The two artists are not only creative partners, but also life companions since 2016 – their music is about building bonds, sharing experiences, and empowering people.
